Company
Why Inca was formed
The idea behind Inca Digital, like all the best ideas, came from customers. When the founders were at Cambridge Consultants, customers asked if it was possible to print packaging at the end of production lines.
A sample printer was made and
it became obvious that there was a clear opportunity to develop a similar machine for the display and signage markets. A specification was drawn up, a business plan put together and Venture
Capital funding secured. Inca Digital Printers began trading in its
own right on May 24th 2000. In 2005 Inca was acquired by Dainippon Screen of Kyoto. Inca's R&D roots continue to play a vital part in the business.
The successful marriage of this R&D mentality with an astute commercial
awareness, go some way to explaining the success that Inca Digital
is enjoying.
In 2005 Inca was awarded two Queen's Awards for Enterprise, a rare feat for any company. The first award was for Innovation and the second for Inca's successes in International Trade.

Inca's Partners
Fujifilm Sericol
Inca's partner in flatbed printers is Fujifilm Sericol. Fujifilm Sericol's strength in the screen printing industry makes them a natural route to market for the product, and their Uvijet UV cure inks are optimised for Inca printer applications.
The partnership is essential to create the balance between ink and machine, required for all good inkjet integrations. The two companies work closely together on flatbed printer and UV ink developments to achieve the highest quality results.
Sun Chemical
Inca has developed the FastJet™ single pass printer with partner Sun Chemical. FastJet™ uses Sun ink. The printer has been developed for the corrugated print sector, with speeds up to 6,000sqm/hr using CMYK and varnish.
Sun Chemical are a key ink supplier in the corrugated industry and clearly understand the needs of that business.
