UV Ink

The ink in an Inca printer is as important as the printer itself. Inca flatbed printers have been designed to get the best results using Fujifilm Sericol Uvijet inks. The two companies work closely to co-ordinate the specification of the machine with the ink composition.

UV ink is still very much an emerging technology. Although UV ink has been around since the 1940s it's only recently that the introduction of the flatbed printer has prompted increased development and demand. As flatbed printer technology improves to deliver the capability to print at faster and faster speeds, so must ink performance.

Uvijet Ink Benefits

The Uvijet family of inks offers excellent adhesion and flexibility. Uvijet inks from Fujifilm Sericol have been developed for a wide range of uncoated media. Ideal for both internal and external applications including banners, POP, backlit images, exhibition graphics, signage, printing onto glass, metal, acrylic and board for example. These inks have been specifically formulated to maximise production output and provide a wide colour gamut coupled with intense colours.

The combination of Inca printer design and ink formulation does not necessitate purging which is common on inkjet printers. The UV ink cures on application leaving prints dry as they come off the bed and ready for handling and post processing. UV inks are free of volatile solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons and do not contain ozone depleting chemicals.
