Industrial applications

There are many industrial applications where there is increasing pressure to reduce run lengths and flexibility. This, combined with the advantages of UV curing inks, has led people to investigate inkjet printing as a viable option.

Gaming machine printing

The print process for gaming machines is very complex, involving as many as 16 colours, including mirror and blackout layers onto glass.

The introduction of an Inca machine with a high precision motion system has revolutionised the market in the UK, with the key players moving to digital print:

Benefits:

  • More flexible production process
  • Faster and lower cost origination
  • Produces less wastage per print run
  • Is most cost effective for buyer and supplier

Door manufacturer

One of our earliest alliances for an industrial application has been with Masonite. As the largest door manufacturer in the world, they were keen to use digital print to add value to their business.

Working with Masonite, Inca have developed a printer which can print directly onto a moulded door panel.

A full scale production line process has been developed at one of their US facilities to accompany this innovative print solution.

Benefits:

  • Ability to be more responsive and creative in the marketplace
  • Produces unique, customised doors for particular end customers
  • Existing technologies could not meet this need
